IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe - Day 40

Yannick Bestaven FRA ('Maître Coq') was the first to reach the Pacific Ocean yesterday. The first chaser is now again Charlie Dalin FRA ('Apivia') 102nm behind. Thomas Ruyant FRA ('LinkedOut') is 176nm in arrear after suffering a water intrusion yesterday and having to pump his boat empty. No damage to the boat: the rough seas opened the hatch covers on the forecastle. The pursuing group was able to make up some ground.
