After 12 days of racing, the decision in the Ultime Trimarans seems to have been made more than 2,000 miles before the finish: Franck Cammas/Charles Caudrelier FRA are first with their 'Edmond de Rothschild' with a lead of 419 miles. Today, they will pass the Doldrums towards the north. ----- The OceanFifty trimarans are close together: Sébastien Rogues/Matthieu Souben FRA lead with 66 miles ahead of Erwan Le Roux/Xavier Macaire FRA. ----- The top trio in the Open 60 hit the southerly trade winds tonight. 'LinkedOut' with Thomas Ruyant/Morgan Lagravière FRA are now 39 miles ahead of 'Apivia' (Charlie Dalin/Paul Meilhat FRA). Another 10 miles behind, 'Charal' with Jérémy Béyou FRA/Christopher Pratt GBR also remain in the running for the win. ----- The Class 40 fleet is rounding the Cape Verde Islands. For the time being, the northern group is leading the classification: Antoine Carpentier FRA/Pablo Santurde ESP are 31 miles ahead of Axel Tréhin/ Fréderic Denis FRA. Only 50 miles behind, the Olympic skiing champion Ivica Kostelic CRO together with Antoine Calliste FRA moved up to rank 6. ------ The race tracker and the reports.
