8m JI - World Championship 2023 - Genoa ITA - Day 2

The 8m world championship opened yesterday with two races sailed in offshore Tramontana. With winds of 20 knots at first, later dropping to 12 knots, 2 races were completed. ----- The defending champion 'Yquem II' with Jean Fabre SUI won twice, followed by 'Mirabelle' with Peter Harburg AUS in second place. The soon to be 100 year old 'Bona' with Vera Mogna ITA (and Flavio Favini ITA) is 3rd. ----- The report (ital.). A ranking list was not yet available this morning on the event website.
