Ultim Trimaran - Arkea Ultim Challenge - Brest FRA - Day 13 - Charles Caudrelier FRA in the Indian Ocean

After 12 days and 1 hour, 'Edmond de Rothschild' with Charles Caudrelier FRA was the first to pass the Cape of Good Hope yesterday. This corresponds to an average speed of 28.85 knots (approx. 55 km/h!). He was therefore only 5 hours slower than François Gabart FRA on his record run in 2007. With 825 miles in 24 hours, he was also close to the absolute 24-hour record yesterday and now has a lead of 954 miles over Thomas Coville FRA (Sodebo).
