ILCA 6 & 7 - Master European Championship 2024 - Vilamoura POR - Day 3

 ILCA 6 & 7 - Master European Championship 2024 - Vilamoura POR - Day 3 Fresh winds and big waves prevailed on the third day of the European Masters Championship in Portugal. After a postponement, all fleets could finish one more race, with only the ILCA 6 Legends (75+) remaining ahore. ----- Thanks to a race win, Roger Schulz GER is now on top of the ILCA 7 Grand Master (55-65), Markus Ochs SUI was able to hold on to 14th place. ----- The two Spanish Olympic Champions José-Luis Doreste ESP (Finn 88) and José-Maria Van der Ploeg ESP (Finn 92) are in the lead in the ILCA 7 Great Grand Master (65-75). ----- All rankings and the daily report.

ILCA 6 & 7 - Master European Championship 2024 - Vilamoura POR - Day 2

Very light winds also characterized the second day of the Masters European Championship in southern Portugal. Only late in the afternoon, there was a little wind for one race in each of the 7 fleets. ----- 1988 Finn Olympic Champion José-Luis Doreste ESP won the race of the ILCA 7 Great Grand Master (over 65), and Michel Majon BEL won the largest fleet of 71 participants in the ILCA 7 Grand Master (55-65). The Swiss also got off to a good start: Markus Ochs SUI, Ferrucio Arvedi SUI and Beat Heinz finished 14th to 16th, while Thomas Gyr SUI is the best-ranked Swiss in second place in the ILCA 6 Great Grand Master (65-75), with Bart Meynendonckx BEL in the lead. ----- All other rankings (7 age categories) and the report.

 ILCA 6 & 7 - Master European Championship 2024 - Vilamoura POR - Day 1 Light winds characterized the starting day of the ILCA Masters European Championship, and only two of the 7 fleets could finish the first race. ----- In the ILCA 6 Legends (75+, 17 participants!), Jonathan Andron USA won ahead of Josp Mazereeuw NED. Jacques Perret SUI was 7th. ----- In the ILCA 7 Masters (45-55 y.), Carlos Echevarri ESP won ahead of Adonis Bougiouris GRE.
