 470, 49er, 49erFX, ILCA 6 & 7 - Portugal Grand Prix, Act 2 - Vilamoura POR - Day 3 The second round of the Portugal GP for Olympic dinghies began in Vilamoura on Wednesday. The competitive fleets have each completed 4-5 races so far, and today is the final day. ----- Elsa Coolingdridge GBR leads the women's ILCA 6 by one point ahead of Hannah Snellgrove GBR and Agata Barwinska POL.  420, 470 - Carnival Race - San Remo ITA - Day 1 In gusty easterly winds, the Carnival Race began yesterday in San Remo with 4 races each. ----- Three Greek teams are tied on top of the large 420 fleet, led by Chamarias Sokratis/George Xipas GRE. The Swiss junior teams will be sailing in the Silverfleet from today, with Seraina Pfister/Valentine Scharpff SUI in 81st place out of 127 teams. ----- In the 470, there are 15 teams from 6 nations at the start, with Aurora Casertano/Mattia Tognochi ITA in the lead. IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2024 - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 101

After 99 days and 16 hours, Jingkun Xu CHN crossed the Vendée Globe finish line yesterday in 30th place. He is the first Chinese to complete the race and only the second disabled sailor to terminate this longest and most demanding sporting event, He was also celebrated in Les Sables d'Olonne with great fanfare. - The report. ----- Now, the final trio remains in the race: In the middle of the Atlantic at the height of the Canary Islands, Manuel Cousin FRA is currently crossing the flat transition zone between the trade winds and the westerly wind belt 180 miles ahead of Fabrice Amedeo FRA and 300 miles in front of Denis Van Weynbergh BEL. After 99 days and 3 hours, Oliver Heer SUI (tut gut) finished his Vendée Globe yesterday in 29th place.
