In a light breeze, the Lasers Standard sailed the planned two races, while the Radials had to content themselves with one heat.
Rutger Van Schaardenburg NED extended his lead in the Lasers Standard in front of Filip Jurisic CRO and Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA new on the ranks 2 and 3. The best North Americans by nation are Buckingham USA 14th, Thompson ISV 23rd, Gentry MEX 31st, Ryder CAN 34th, Gonzales PUR 69th.
In the Lasers Radial, the Olympic Champion Lijia Xu CHN is now alone on top with a 2nd race rank yesterday. Evi Van Acker BEL moved up on rank 2. Emma Plasschaert BEL is now on 3rd. Railey USA 16th, Montemayor/Elias Calles MEX 24th, Peters CAN 30th are the best by NorAm nations. Today, the Radials with only two races so far will have an extensive program to complete the qualifications for the Gold- and Silver-Fleets.
