Optimist - World Championship 2024 - Mar del Plata ARG - Day 2

After the windy start, there were light winds of 5-10 kn yesterday at the Optimist World Championships, and the big waves and strong currents made for challenging conditions. Again, two races were sailed. ----- Arthur Back BRA was superior with 1st and 2nd place in his group as on the start day, and now leads the overall classification by 6 points ahead of Mateo Carbonell ESP and Joan Domingo ESP. With a 5th place in his group, Eivinn Löfteröd SUI moved up to 26th place. Eduard Hirsch SUI follows close behind in 28th place. The qualifications for the finals will be finalized today, and there should be a fresh sea breeze again. Tenma Rösti SUI in 74th place is also on course for the Gold fleet (top 75). Lena Müller SUI (86th place, 15 points behind the Gold fleet) and Lewin Liatard SUI (113th place, 30 points behind) have every chance today too. ----- The ranking list, the daily-report and the Facebook page with the pictures.
