 SB20 - World Championship 2025 - Singapore SGP - Day 2 In light, inconsistent winds, the SB20 World Championship began on Monday in Singapore. After 7 races, Paul McCartney AUS and his team are in the lead with a one-point advantage over title defender Jack Pollard GBR. The french Youth Team with Paul Loiseau FRA is in 4th place, 6 points behind. In 8th place is the women's team of Charlotte Borghesi GBR, including the Olympic cracks Rebecca Netzler SWE and Lovisa Karlsson SWE.  Trophée Jules Verne - Around-the-World-record - Day 1 - SVR Lazartigue stops Just a few hours after the start of the record attempt yesterday morning, François Gabart FRA and his team have already cancelled their round-the-world record attempt after the wind forecast for the coming week deteriorated. IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2024 - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 72

As expected, the storm front reached the top yesterday...and took its toll: Sam Goodchild GBR, in the race for 4th place, tore his mainsail after an involuntary gybe - currently still in 6th place, he is likely to fall further back to the finish. Jérémy Beyou FRA (4th place) still has 875 miles to go to the finish, where he is expected on Thursday.... if he makes it through - he is also currently sailing at 50 knots, in the video report he looks very tense... Justine Mettraux SUI still 8th is caught by the storm front today. If she makes it through without damage, she will set a new women's record - the report. A large group will pass the equator today, perhaps including Alan Roura SUI and Jean Le Cam FRA, who have managed to close the gap to 80 miles in the trade winds. IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2024 - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 71

There is still excitement and action .... from the battle for 4th place to the final trio, the last to round Cape Horn today. ----- Jérémy Beyou FRA and 20 miles behind him Sam Goodchild GBR were still 1250 miles short of the finish line this morning. South of the Azores, the two have reached a storm depression expected to bring 50 knots and more! 150 miles behind them. Paul Meilhat FRA and Nicolas Lunven FRA are in a duel for 6th place. 150 miles farther behind them lurks Justine Mettraux SUI, who wants to sail around the hurricane center on an easterly course. Boris Herrmann GER has lost more ground with his damaged Open 60 and is now 13th. Romain Attanasio FRA crossed the equator tonight in 14th place, 1,000 miles behind Herrmann. The chasing quintet, led by Damien Séguin FRA, who are only 80 miles apart, will also cross the equator today. Alan Roura SUI has finally reached the southerly trade winds, together with Jean Le Cam FRA - his video of the day today from the top of the mast (he had to repair the broken forestay) - the Genevan has lost a lot with his strategy and is already some way behind in 22nd and 23rd.

Optimist - Coach Regatta - Marseille FRA - Final results

Early start to the season for the Optimists on the Mediterranean: 150 participants from France, Monaco, and Switzerland have been in action in Marseille since Friday. However, the winds remained weak when the 3 races were completed. ----- In the Groupe Elite (U15), Paul Masson FRA was the clear winner, followed by Maxime Vallotton SUI, Vera Benzcur SUI and Lou Eisenhut SUI in places 12-14 of the 80 participants. ----- In the Groupe Espoir (U12), with Simon Enjabert FRA, an Opti from Nice also won. 18 Footer - Australian Championship 2025 - Brisbane AUS - Final results

In moderate conditions, the Australian 18-footer championship in Brisbane ended this morning (see live broadcast above). ----- Another 3 races were sailed, and ‘Rag&Famish’ with Harry Price/Max Paul/Finn Rodowicz AUS won clearly and is therefore also the favorite at the JJ Giltinan (World Championship) in a month. ----- The ranking list and the Facebook page. ----- On Saturday there was a big capsize festival at around 30 knots - here is the video.

 F50-Catamaran - Sail GP 24/25 - Act 2 - Auckland NZL - Final results - Victory for Team Australia There were fresh winds this morning in Auckland for the final of the Sail GP: Team Australia (Tom Slingsby), Team GBR (Dylan Fletcher GBR) and Team Spain (Diego Botin ESP) secured their place in the final in the two contested final qualifying races. Team Italia made a strong start with Olympic champion Ruggero Tita ITA, finishing in 6th place in their first outing. Team Switzerland (Sébastien Schneiter/Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI) started the day slowly with two 10th places, but managed to book a 4th place in the final race and moved up to 7th place in the final rankings. Team GER with Erik Heil GER follow in 8th place. In the final, Team AUS clearly dominated at first, but Team ESP was able to catch up before the final run, but it was not to be enough. ----- The leaderboard and the report.

IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2024 - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 70

In the flat transition zone from trade winds to the westerly wind belt, the first group of the fleet has moved together: 1680 miles from the finish, only 153 miles separate Sam Goodchild GBR (4th place) from Justine Mettraux SUI (8th place). Due to losing a foil, Boris Herrmann GER has dropped to 12th place. The strategy of Alan Roura SUI with a route in the center of the South Atlantic has not proved successful, as the group on the South American coast has pulled away and is 400 miles ahead. IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2024 - Les Sables d'Olonne FRA - Day 69

After Sébastien Simon FRA finished 3rd yesterday, there is now a week's break in Les Sables d'Olonne: Sam Goodchild GBR and Jérémy Béyou FRA in 4th and 5th place were still 1830 miles away from the finish this morning, with Paul Meilhat FRA 75 miles behind. Today there is a flat transition zone to cross, the other chasers are also likely to move up; Nicolas Lunven FRA follows 145 miles behind and Justine Mettraux SUI is in 8th place 246 miles behind 4th place. After losing a foil, Boris Herrmann GER can no longer quite keep up and has dropped further back in 10th place. Alan Roura SUI is still waiting for wind in the middle of the South Atlantic, he is now 21st. Oliver Heer SUI is still 29th. The race tracker and the reports are now available.

 F50-Catamaran - Sail GP 24/25 - Act 2 - Auckland NZL - Day 1 Conditions were good today in Auckland, at the start of Act 2 of the SailGP and 4 races were sailed with 4 different race winners, including Team Switzerland with Sébastien Schneiter SUI and Arnaud Psarofaghis SUI, who after a weak start (10th and 11th places) turned up the heat and moved up to 7th intermediate place with 1st and 3rd places and thus remain in the race for the 3 final places tomorrow. Today's lead is Team Australia with Tom Slingsby AUS followed by Team GBR with Dylan Fletcher GBR and Team Spain with Diego Botin ESP.
