The 46th edition of the Bénéteau Figaro 'Solitaire' ended yesterday with the 4th and final leg in La Rochelle FRA. Nicolas Lunven FRA finished first 3 minutes ahead of Erwan Tabarly FRA. In the overall rankings, Yoann Richomme FRA kept the lead with a 5 minutes' advance on Charlie Dalin FRA. Nicolas Lunven FRA completed the podium.

The Solo-Skipper fleet, slowing down in a lull zone reducing the gaps between the boat, is approaching the port of call La Rochelle this morning. Yoann Richomme FRA is again leading but only 0,2 miles in front of Nicolas Lunven FRA and 0,3 miles of Xavier Macaire FRA. Much suspense during the last 8 hours of the race is guaranteed.

The start to leg 3 of the 'Solitaire' over 410 miles to La Rochelle FRA will be given today in Paimpol / Northern Britany FRA. Overall interim's leader is Yoann Richomme FRA with a 31 minutes' advantage on Charlie Dalin FRA. Start time is 19h UTC. The race can be followed as usual over the race tracker.

Yesterday, the start to the 2nd leg of the 'Solitaire du Figaro' was given in Cowes GBR, leading over 440 miles via the Runnel Stone at the south-west point of England across Biscay Bay to Cape Finisterre on the north-west point of Spain and on to the port of call Paimpol ESP. The closely packed fleet was sailing upwind this morning in an 18 kn wind near the English South Coast direction West. Gildas Morvan FRA was in the lead this morning 0,7 miles ahead of Yoann Richomme FRA and 1,1 miles is the backlog of Charlie Dalin FRA on rank 3.

The first leg of the Bénéteau Figaro one-design 'Solitaire' ended yesterday in Cowes GBR after 3 days, 9 hours nd 28 minutes. Erwan Tabarly FRA finished first closely followed by Yoann Richomme FRA only 8 minutes behind. Another 4 minutes back, Charly Dalin FRA 3 crossed the finish line.

Good conditions with a 20-25 kn wind prevailed yesterday at the start of the 40 solo-skippers to the classic 'Solitaire' direction Fastnet Rock. The first 20 race hours were rather quick and the fleet had crossed the Channel early this morning already, rounding the first mark off Cowes GBR. Charlie Dalin FRA is leading half a mile ahead of Erwan Tabarly FRA, and another 0,3 miles back Vincent Biarnes FRA.

Next Saturday in Deauville, the start will be given to the 'Solitaire' of the French One-Design Bénéteau Figaro Solo Class, the highlight of the annual regatta program around the Bay of Biscay in four legs. 39 participants, among them four women, are on the entry list. For the 'Team SCA' Volvo Ocean racer Justine Mettraux SUI, it is the first start in this race, but considering the remarkable results in her first solo races this year, a good result in this new challenge might be expected as well.
