A three-way-photo-finish decided on the outcome of the 2019 Star Sailors League Final on the Bahamas. Iain Percy GBR/Anders Ekström SWE grasped the title and the 40'000 US$ prize money just one meter ahead of Xavier Rohart/Pierre-Alexis Ponsot FRA, and another meter behind Eivind Melleby NOR/Joshua Revkin USA on 3rd.  Star - Star Sailors League 2019 - Finals - Nassau BAH - Day 4, Qualifications to select the 10 best concluded After the last Qualification Series races held in a light 5kn breeze yesterday at the SSL Final on the Bahamas, Mateusz Kusznierewicz POL/Bruno Prada BRA remained on rank 1 with a race win and qualified directly for the Final of the best four. Diego Negri ITA/Frithjof Kleen GER on rank 2 are qualified for the Semi Final. The ranks 3 to 10 will sail the Quarter Final today with the best five qualified for the Semi Final. ----- Surprisingly, the English Laser Olympic campaigner Lorenzo Chiavarini GBR with Kilian Weise GER as crew defended the 3rd place ahead of the past Starboat World Champions Melleby NOR/Revkin USA, Cayard/Trinter USA and Percy GBR/Ekström SWE on the rand 4 to 6. On rank 7 follows the Snipe World Champion Henrique Haddad BRA with Henry Boening BRA and also on rank 8 follows another non-Starboat team, the Finn Junior World Champion Muhonen FIN with Kushnir UKR to qualifiy for the Quarter Final.  Star - Star Sailors League 2019 - Finals - Nassau BAH - Day 3, the youngsters impress As best of the day (3/3/6), Lorenzo Chiavarini GBR/Kilian Weise GER advanced on rank 8. The former leaders Diego Negri ITA/Frithjof Kleen GER however, had a bad day with the ranks ocs/21/12 and descended on rank 3. The new overall leaders are Mateusz Kusznierewicz POL/Bruno Prada BRA 10 points ahead of Ian Percy GBR/Anders Ekström SWE. ----- With 6-10kn, this was the first day at the SLL Final with lighter winds, allowing the less experienced VIP youngsters to mark their presence. ----- Today, the Qualification Series will be concluded with another three races.  Star - Star Sailors League 2019 - Finals - Nassau BAH - Day 2, Negri/Kleen ITA/GER clear leaders The experienced Starboat teams ruled the show at the SSL Final on the Bahamas yesterday in the fresh up to 20kn wind, and the three races held were won by Negri/Kleen ITA/GER, Percy/Ekström GBR/SWE and Cayard/Trinter USA. First on the interim ranking list are Diego Negri/Frithjof Kleen with the ranks 1/2/4. Mateusz Kusznierewicz/Bruno Prada POL/BRA follow 8 points behind. Paul Cayard/Phil Trinter USA are on rank 3.  Star - Star Sailors League 2019 - Finals - Nassau BAH - a preview of this top event In early December, the Grand 2019 Final of the Star Sailors League will be held on the Bahamas. The SSL World Ranking List, now not only with Starboat sailors, but with the best of all Olympic Classes, has been considered in the invitations. The first non-Star sailor is the 470 Olympic Champion Matthew Belcher AUS on rank 6. The top-10 of the Ranking List plus 15 invited teams are on the entry list. In addition to all top Star sailors - except the defending Champion Robert Scheidt BRA - are Tonci Stipanovic CRO (Laser Olympic Medalist), Jeemin Ha KOR (Laser) or the Match Racers Ian Williams GBR, Torvar Mirsky AUS and Taylor Canfield ISV among the participants. Invited are also World Champions of the Snipe Class (Henrique Haddad BRA) and the 5.5m (Mark Holowesko BAH). ----- The preview.
