 49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - Oceania Championship 2020 - Geelong AUS - Day 3, US teams in the Nacra17 and 49erFX top-10s The races of today Sunday, sailed in fresh winds, have already been completed. ----- Only minor changes occurred on top of the Nacra 17: John Gimson/Anna Burnett GBR are now 3 points ahead of Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA. Riley Gibbs/Anna Weis USA on 3rd follow 3 points behind the Italians. ----- In the 49ersFX, Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL remained on top. The best of the day Tamara Echegoyen/Paula Barcelo ESP progressed on the 2nd place. An excellent 3rd place in the last race of the day kept Paris Henken/Anna Tobias USA, now 9th overall, in the top-10. Progress for Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA up on rank 16. Alexandra Ten Hove/Mariah Millan CAN stay on the 23rd place. ----- In the 49ers, Diego Botin/Iago Lopez ESP defended rank 1. Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL moved up on rank 2 with two bullets. Andrew Mollerus/Ian MacDiarmid USA on rank 21 remain the best North American team. Ian Barrows/Mitchell Kiss USA 27th and Nevin Snow/Dane Wilson USA 28th are in the first half of the 75 boat fleet. The best CAN team Alexander Heinzemann/Justin Barnes dropped on rank 44, just ahead of the last US skiff of Harry Melges/Finn Rowe USA 45th. ----- The event website with reports and videos.

 49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - Oceania 2020 - Geelong AUS - Day 2, excellent first races of Riley Gibs/Anna Weis (Nacra) and Henken/Tobias (49erFX) With only the 49ers sailing a reduced program on the opening day, all three classes completed four races each today Saturday. ----- In the Nacra 17, John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR are 2 points ahead of Riley Gibs/Anna Weis USA, the clearly best of the 3 US teams. On rank 3 follow the favorites Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA. ----- In the 49ersFX, Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL are in the lead 2 points ahead of Amelia Stabback/Caitlin Elks AUS. Paris Henken/Anna Tobias USA (ranks 2/11/1/13) are on the promising 8th place. Stephanie Roble/Maggie Shea USA follow on the 20th, Alexandra Ten Hove/Mariah Millan CAN on the 22nd place. ----- In the 49ers, Diego Botin/Iago Lopez ESP are on top with 3 race wins in their group. With Fletcher/Bithell GBR and Burling/Tuke NZL, two other favorites follow on the ranks 2 and 3.  49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - Oceania Championship 2020 - Geelong AUS - Day 1, with 8 North American teams As a last preparation to the important 49er, 49erFX Nacra17 World Championships in February, the joint Oceania Championship was kicked-off this morning UTC in Geelong AUS with top-quality attendance in all classes. Racing began in the 49ers with one group completing two races, the other group one race. ----- The race winners were Przybytek/Kolodzinski POL, Gilmour/Gilmour AUS and Botin/Rodriguez ESP. The best ranked North Americans among 4 USA and 4 CAN teams were Ryan and Andrew Wood CAN as 9th and Nevin Snow/Dane Wilson USA as 11th of their group, bringing them on the overall ranks 15 and 20. ----- The results and the event facebook page.
