Optimist - Vila de Palamos Trophy - Palamos ESP - Final results, no races, too much wind, 17 USA boats in the 565 fleet
Again no luck for the over 500 Optimist sailors at the Costa Brava ! After two windless days, a wind over 30kn kept the girls and boys ashore on the final day of the Palamos Trophy. The ranking list of day one with 3 race becomes therefore final. Carl Krause GER and Caspar Ilgenstein GER are on the top positions with Marc Mesquida ESP completing the podium on rank 3. Maayan Shemesh ISR, 7th overall, is the best girl. The two sailors among the 17 USA participants finishing in the top-100 of the huge 565 boat fleet are Fynn Olsen (MYC) on rank 47 and Pierce Olsen (MYC) as 83rd. ----- The ranking list, the news and the video of the final day.





Only one group sailing a race on Friday, and yesterday nothing at all at the Palamos Optimist Trophy. The ranking list of Thursday with three races completed remains therefore unchanged.
