ILCA 7 - World Championship 2022 - Vallarta MEX - Day 6 - Titel for Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA

Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA became the first Frenchman in the 50-year history of the Laser (ILCA) class to secure the World Championship title in yesterday's final two races. With an early start in the first race of the day, the Frenchman made it exciting again, but a 7th place in the second race was enough to secure the title. Pavlos Kontides CYP took the silver medal, Filip Jurisic CRO was best of the day (2/2) and moved up to third place. ----- The results and the final report.

ILCA 7 - World Championship 2022 - Vallarta MEX - Day 5

Only after some waiting time, the two races of the day could be started in lighter winds. ----- Despite his weakest day (13/14), Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA held on to the lead and goes into today's final day still 20 points ahead, with two races to come. Defending champion Tom Saunders NZL is now 2nd, Pavlos Kontides CYP moved up to 3rd as best of the day (1/5). Tonci Stipanovic CRO is tied for 4th. ----- The ranking list and the report.

Best Seabreeze conditions also on day 4 of the ILCA-7 World Championship for the first two final races. ----- Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA was again best of the day with the ranks 1/4, extending his lead over Jonatan Vadnai HUN to already 26 points ! The ranks 2-7 are only 8 points apart: defending champion Tom Saunders NZL has moved up to rank 3 on equal points with with Fynn Lynch IRL on 4th, and, one point behind, Tonci Stipanovic CRO on rank 5. ----- The ranking list and the daily report.

The third day of the ILCA 7 World Championships also saw good seabreeze conditions around 15kn, with two more races completing the qualifications for Gold and Silverfleets. ----- Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA defended the top spot with the day's ranks 2/2.  ILCA 7 - World Championship 2022 - Vallarta MEX - Day 2 Yesterday, a freshening sea breeze prevailed again on the second day of the ILCA-7 World Championship in Mexico. In an initial 10 knots, increasing to 18 knots, two races were sailed in each group. ----- Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA was the best of the day (2/3) and thanks to the discard, he moved up to the top.  ILCA 7 - World Championship 2022 - Vallarta MEX - Day 1 The ILCA 7 World Championships started yesterday in Mexico, and the fleet, divided into two groups, sailed two races each in a moderate seabreeze. ----- Jonatan Vadnai HUN took the lead with 2/2 ahead of Tonci Stipanovic CRO and Nik Willim GER.
