Finn - Masters World Championship 2022 - Helsinki FIN - Final results

With light winds and two more races, the Masters World Championship of the Finns came to an end yesterday. Pieter-Jan Postma NED won again twice and became the new Master World Champion with the minimum of points. Laurent Hay FRA and Peter Peet NED took the places of honour. Christoph Christen SUI improved to 23rd place. As 52nd of the 120 participants, Hans Fatzer SUI took the victory in the Legends classification (over 70).  Finn - Masters World Championship 2022 - Helsinki FIN - Day 1 In moderate winds of around 10kn, the Masters World Championship of the Finns began yesterday in Helsinki. The big favourite Pieter-Jan Postma NED, who had already won the Finn World Championships this year, was convincing with two race wins. Laurent Hay FRA came in second twice, followed by Peter Peet NED in third place. As the best Swiss, Christoph Christen SUI is 18th, Hans Fatzer SUI is also in the lead in the Legend Division (70+) as 37th. Ruedi Baumann SUI follows in 48th place out of 121 participants.  Finn - Masters World Championship 2022 - Helsinki FIN Le championnat du monde des Master des Finns débute aujourd'hui à Helsinki. 126 participants de 25 nations et de 4 continents sont sur la ligne de départ. Pieter-Jan Postma NED est le favori, mais Thomas Schmid GER et Sébastien Godefroy BEL, tous deux expérimentés aux Jeux Olympiques, ont également leurs chances. La régate d'entraînement a dû être annulée hier en raison d'un vent trop fort, aujourd'hui le départ de la première manche sera donné - la page Facebook. La Suisse est représentée par 6 Finns, dans les années passées Christoph Christen YCB a obtenu les meilleurs résultats - le rapport de l'équipe Suisse.
