29er - World Championship 2022 - El Balis ESP - Final results

 29er - World Championship 2022 - El Balis ESP - Final results On the final day of the 29er World Championships, three more races were sailed. Maximo Videla/Tadeo Funes ARG were the only top teams to finish in the top 10 three times and became World Champions. Alex Demurtas/Giovanni Santi ITA were only one point behind. Bronze went to Hugo Revil/Karl Devaux FRA. In the Silverfleet, the Swiss were ranked 70th (Constantin Higgs/Itay Geller SUI), 74th (Matteo Bertschy/Robin Imbert SUI), 76th (Simon and Mathieu Mille SUI) and 80th (Stach Vleeshowers/Meysan Tazi SUI).  29er - World Championship 2022 - El Balis ESP - Day 5 The second day of finals at the 29er World Championship brought light winds, and 2 of the 3 scheduled races could be sailed. ----- Alex Demurtas/Giovanni Santi ITA took the lead with Dougi and Vicky Van Avermaete ARG 4 points behind in 2nd. Maximo Videla/Tadeo Funes ARG also remain in title contention in 3rd.  29er - World Championship 2022 - El Balis ESP - Day 4 The final races of the 29er World Championship began yesterday in Spain. In moderate sea breeze, three races each were sailed. ----- Hugo Revil/Karl Devaux FRA moved up to the top. Alex Demurtas/Giovanni Santi ITA follow on equal points on rank 2. Only 3 points behind, Dogui and Vicky Van Avermaete ARG are new on rank 3. In the Silverfleet, Matteo Bertschy/Robin Imbert SUI have advanced to 56th place.  29er - World Championship 2022 - El Balis ESP - Day 3 With two races in light winds, the qualifications at the 29er World Championship were completed yesterday. The finals will be sailed in 6 fleets starting today. ----- Alex Demurtas/Giovanni Santi ITA are leading the classification 4 points ahead of Zeno Marchesini/Carlo Vittoli ITA. Goron/Clochard FRA and Devaux/Rio FRA are tied for third place. Constantin Higgs/Itay Geller SUI (rank 57), Simon and Matthieu Mille SUI (rank 64), Matteo Bertschy/Robin Imbert SUI (rank 75) and Stach Vleeshowers/Meyssan Tazi SUI (rank 80) are sailing in the Silverfleet (ranks 41-80). ----- The results and the video of the first day.

 29er - World Championship 2022 - El Balis ESP - Day 2 The 29er World Championship at the Costa Brava continued yesterday with three races, again in moderate conditions. ----- Thanks to two race wins in their group, Yoel Hernandez/Alvaro Alonso ESP took the lead together with Alex Demurtas/Giovanni Santi ITA, tied on points. Best Swiss still Constantin Higgins/Itay Geller SUI, now in 66th place. Matteo Bertschy/Robin Imbert SUI follow in 79th place, Stach Vleeshowers/Meyssan Tazi SUI (94th) and Simon and Mathieu Mille SUI (100th) are also in the top 100 of the 242 teams. ----- The results and the event website.

 29er - World Championship 2022 - El Balis ESP - Day 1 Light winds marked the start day of the 29er World Championship in Spain. The fleet was divided into 5 groups and sailed 2 races each. Soma Kis/Attila Juhasz HUN took the lead with ranks 1 and 2, only one point behind a quartet with equal points, led by Alex Demurtas/ Giovanni Santi ITA. Constantin Higgs/Itay Geller SUI are the best of the large Swiss delegation in 52nd place. There are 242 teams at the start. The ranking list and the event website.
