 470 - World Championship 2022 - Sdot Yam ISR - Final results Yesterday, the Medal Race in Israel marked the end of the World Championships in the new Olympic class Mixed 470, the first major test after the Corona crisis. Luise Wanser/Phillip Autenrieth GER were already the new World Champions with a large lead before. In the fight for the other medals, Jordi Xammar/Nora Brugman ESP moved up to second place thanks to their victory in the Medal Race, Camille Lecointre/Jérémy Mion FRA took bronze. The Junior World Champions Matthis Pacaud/Lucie De Gennes FRA missed the podium by only 2 points in fourth place. The ranking and the daily report.

470 - World Championship 2022 - Sdot Yam ISR - Day 5 - Luise Wanser/Philipp Autenrieth GER world champions !

Even before today's Medal Race, Luise Wanser/Philipp Autenrieth GER are confirmed as 470 Mixed World Champions. In a moderate sea breeze (8-15 knots), they managed another race win yesterday, increasing their lead to 22 points. However, the ranks 2 (Camille Lecointre/Jérémy Mion FRA) to 5 (Simon Diesch/Anna Markfort GER) are only 8 points apart before today's Medal Race. ----- Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach SUI moved up to 21st place at the end, Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI follow in 23rd position. ----- The ranking and the daily report.

470 - World Championship 2022 - Sdot Yam ISR - Day 4

The second day of finals also saw moderate conditions with 10-14 knots, and again two races were sailed. ----- Luise Wanser/Philipp Autenrieth GER remained on top with the day's 15th and 2nd places. Best of the day, U21 World and European Champions Matisse Pacaud/Lucie De Gennes FRA, moved up to 2nd with two 3rd places. Camille Lecointre/Jérémy Mion FRA are now 3rd. The final races will be completed today, with the top 10 sailing the Medal Race tomorrow Saturday. The ranks 9 (Malte and Anastassia Winkel GER) to 12 (Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr AUT) are only 5 points apart. ----- For the two Swiss teams, the Medal Race is too far away : Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI are now 24th (yesterday 26th and 9th), Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach SUI had to accept a disqualification after a 12th place and are 26th. -----The ranking and the daily-report.

In Israel, the final races in Gold and Silverfleet began yesterday with two races being sailed in 12-15 knots. ----- The day's wins went to Vita Heathcoat/Ryan Orr GBR and Martin Wrigley/Eilidh McIntyre GBR, but the team of the day was Camille Lecointre/Jérémy Mion FRA, moving up to second overall with two 2nd place finishes ... and this at their first regatta together ! Luise Wanser/Philippe Autenrieth GER continue to lead the standings, and with 6th and 4th places, they extended their lead to 6 points. ----- The two Swiss teams Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach SUI and Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI established themselves in the midfield and are tied for 21st and 22nd place. ----- The ranking and the daily report.

 470 - World Championship 2022 - Sdot Yam ISR - Day 2 Unsteady and shifty winds between 8 and 12 knots made for a challenging end to the qualifications yesterday, with two races each being sailed again. ----- As the team of the day, Simon Diesch/Anna Markfort GER moved up to third place in their group with two race wins. Luise Wanser/Philipp Autenrieth GER defended their lead, Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr AUT follow 3 points behind in 2nd place. Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach SUI, now 14th, managed again a 2nd place in their group.  470 - World Championship 2022 - Sdot Yam ISR - Day 1 In winds that initially reached 8 knots and later increased to 12 knots, the Olympic Mixed 470s began their World Championships in Israel yesterday with three races. The fleet of 60 teams is divided into two groups. ----- First leaders are Luise Wanser/Philipp Autenrieth GER with ranks 1/2 (the discard is already included). Jianyong Xu/Yahan Tu CHN (1/3) and Marco Gradoni/Alessandra Dubbini ITA (1/5) follow on ranks 2 and 3. Linda Fahrni/Cyrill Schüpbach SUI also started well and are on rank 12 with 10 and 2. Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI in 19th place are also on course for the gold fleet.  470 - World Championship 2022 - Sdot ISR - First races today The Olympic Mixed 470 World Championship starts today in Israel with 60 teams from 21 nations and 4 continents. The favourites are Anton Dahlberg/Lovisa Karlsson SWE, winners of the European Championship two months ago, and also the Israeli Championship last week. The Spanish, German and Israeli teams also have good chances. Switzerland is represented by Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI and Linda Fahrni/Cyrill Schüpbach SUI, who are likely to be among the front runners, especially in lighter winds. ----- The preview.
