The Optimist Meeting on Lake Garda ended yesterday with three races. A monster event again this year with 1200 participants! ----- Henric Wigforss SWE held on to the lead and won by 9 points over Eric Scheidt LTU. Sviatoslav Madonich UKR moved up to 3rd place. Yesterday, the first two final regattas in Gold and Silverfleet were sailed on Lake Garda. ----- Henric Wigforss SWE was able to pull away at the top with ranks 1 and 2. Before today's final races, his lead over the tied Frederik Dam DEN and David Coates USA is 11 points. The qualifications for the final regattas of today were completed in a fresh Ora yesterday. Two more races each could be sailed. ----- Henric Wigforss SWE has taken the lead of the Juniores. One point behind follows Martinius Melleby NOR, and Erik Scheidt LTU has moved up to rank 3. ----- The best girl is Victoria Demurtas ITA in 7th place. The legendary Opti-Meeting on Lake Garda started yesterday with three races each - the large fleet with more than 1000 Juniores (U16) is divided into 6 groups. Sviatoslav Madonich UKR is leading the ranking, one point behind Martinius Melleby NOR in 2nd place. Most of the Swiss Optis are currently sailing in Portoroz SLO, but there is also a delegation on Lake Garda, with Justine Barbarin SUI in 142nd place as best Swiss. As usual, the Lake Garda Meeting of the Optis started with the Country Cup: One Opti per nation is allowed. Erik Wigforss SWE won ahead of Viatoslav Madonich UKR and Martinius Melleby NOR.
