 Olympic Classes - Semaine Internationale Française - Hyères FRA - Final results The Medal Races were sailed yesterday at a moderate 10kn. ----- In the 470, Jordi Xammar/Nora Brugman ESP won by 8 points over Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr AUT. Thanks to their victory in the Medal Race, Malte, and Anastassiya Winkel GER moved up to third place. ----- And also in the 49er, there was a Spanish victory by Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP. Medal Race winners Jim Colley/Shaun Connor AUS moved up to 2nd place, and Mikolai Staniul/Jakub Sztorch POL were 3rd. ----- In the 49erFX, Odile Van Aanholt/Anette Duetz NED were already the winners before the Medal Race. Jana Germani/Giorgia Bertuzzi ITA maintained their 2nd place, and Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA moved up to 3rd. ----- In the ILCA 6, Sarah Douglas CAN held off Anne-Marie Rindom DEN in a nail-biting match race to win by a narrow margin. Casey Imeneo AUS moved up to 3rd place. With a 6th place in the Medal Race, Maud Jayet SUI remained in 6th place overall. ----- In the ILCA 7, Elliot Hanson GBR managed to push Michael Beckett GBR out of the lead in the British duel. Pavlos Kontides CYP remained in third. ----- In the Nacra 17, John Gimson/Anna Burnett GBR took an outstanding victory. Mateo Majdalani/Eugenia Bosco ARG and Gianluigi Ugolai/Maria Giubilai ITA completed the podium. ----- Axel Mazella FRA and Lauriane Nolot FRA - both from Hyères - won the kite rankings. ----- In the iQ-Foil windsurfers, there were changes at the top in both fleets due to their own Medal Race format: Laerke Buhl-Hansen DEN, who won 10 of the 15 races, had to settle for third place in the women's race. The win went to Barbara Svikova CZE, and Rina Niijima JPN moved up to second. The same situation for Mateo Isaac BRA, who was leading in the men's race all week, and dropped back to 3rd. Olympic Classes - Semaine Internationale Française - Hyères FRA - Day 5

Yesterday, at the end of the qualifications for today's Medal Races, the winds were light in Hyéres. In three classes the winners have already been decided: ----- Odile Van Aanholt/Annette Duetz NED are 48 points ahead in the 49erFX! ----- Laerke Buhl-Hansen DEN leads the women's iQ-Foil with 21 points and John Gimson/Anna Burnett GBR, after winning the World Cup in Palma, also take the victory in Hyères with 32 points ahead. ----- In the 470, the duel between Jordi Xammar/Nora Brugmann ESP and Lara Vadlau/Lukas Möhr AUT with equal points will take place today in the Medal Race. The Swiss teams missed the qualifying for the Medal Race: Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach SUI are 14th, Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI dropped back to 26th. ----- In the 49er, Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP are unlikely to be displaced from first place, as they are 16 points ahead. The ranks 2-5, on the other hand, are only 3 points apart. Andrea Aschieri/Anja Camusso SUI finished in an excellent 15th place, just ahead of the multiple Olympic medalists Santiago Lange ARG and Iordanis Paschalidis GRE. Axel Grandjean/Noëmi Fehlmann SUI dropped back to 32nd place due to a false start. ----- In the men's kitefoil, Axel Mazella FRA ousted 16-year-old Max Maeder SGP from the top spot. ----- In the women's event, Lauriane Nolot FRA held on to the first position ahead of Jessie Kampman FRA. ----- In the windsurfing men's race, Mateus Isaac BRA goes into the Medal Race with a 10-point lead. ----- All rankings and the daily report. Moderate winds for the first final races in Gold and Silver fleets, and all classes were able to sail a full program. ----- In the 470, Jordi Xammar/Nora Brugman ESP extended their lead to 17 points as best of the day. Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr AUT and Beatriz Gago/Rodolfo Pires POR tied for second place.Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI moved up to 14th thanks to a race win. Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach SUI fared even better, finishing as the third-best team of the day (8/4/9) in 16th place. With 10 and 12 points respectively behind rank 10, the two SUI teams have a chance to qualify for the Medal Race today. ----- In the 49er, Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP are now leading 7 points ahead of Bart Lambriex/Florian Van der Linden NED. Andrew Mollerus/Ian McDiarmid USA moved up to third place. Thanks to a race win in the Goldfleet, Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI have moved up to 12th place, just one point short of the TopTen. ----- In the 49erFX, World Champions Odile Van Aanholt/Anette Duetz NED have pulled away at the top.  Olympic Classes - Semaine Internationale Française - Hyères FRA - Day 3 After two days of fresh mistral, there were lighter winds for the first time yesterday with 5-8kn. Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI[/URL] were the best 470 team of the day, finishing 1/3/5 and moving up to 15th place after their black start day, so they will be in the gold fleet from today. Linda Fahrni/Cyrill Schüpbach SUI also qualified in 31st place. Jordy Xammar/Nora Brugman ESP are still on top, Beatriz Gago/Rodolfo Pires POR are now on rank 2, Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr AUT are still on rank 3. In the 49er, Logan Dunning/Oscar Gunn NZL are on top, 6 points behind Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP and Ian Barrows/Hans Henken USA share second place. As 21. Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI qualified for the Goldfleet, Joshua Richner/Nilo Schärer SUI follow in 29th position. Olympic Classes - Semaine Internationale Française - Hyères FRA - Day 2 - Mistral !

Yesterday it was blowing at the upper limit in the Bay of Hyères again, but 6 of the 10 classes were able to finish at least one race. The 470s made it to the start area in around 30kn, but were immediately ordered back to port. After the first day, Jordy Xammar/Nora Brugman ESP are leading - the 470 report by Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI. The Nacra 17 and the kiteboarders also stayed ashore. After the first day, Max Maeder SGP leads the Kite men, Daniela Moroz USA is on top of the women. There was a lot of action yesterday for the iQ-Foil windsurfers, who finished 5 races each. Laerke Bühl DEN won 5 times in the womens fleet, Mateus Isaac BRA continues to lead the men's rankings. The 49ers were in action for the first time: With two race wins each in three races, Logan Dunning/Oscar Gunn NZL and Bart Lambriex/Florian Van der Werken NED lead the classification. Fischer Jauvin FRA and Staniul/Sztorch POL share third place on equal points. Sébastien Schneiter/Arno De Planta SUI started well with 4th and 5th places but had to abandon the last race and are 15th, Joshua Richner/Nilo Schärer SUI follow in 27th place of the 72 teams. In the 49erFX, Jana Germani/Giorgia Bertuzzi ITA took the lead with two race wins. Charlotte Rose USA won the only race of the day in her group in ILCA 6 and took the lead. Sarah Douglas CAN follows one point behind. Tied for 3rd on points are Agata Barwinska POL and Maud Jayet SUI (3rd yesterday), Anja Von Allmen SUI is 35th, Rosine Baudet follows in 57th of the 92 competitors. In ILCA 7, Eliot Hanson GBR won both races of his group and is now 2 points ahead of Finn Alexander AUS and Daniel Whiteley GBR.  Olympic Classes - Semaine Internationale Française - Hyères FRA - Day 1 As announced, challenging conditions prevailed at the start of the Semaine Olympique with up to 30 knots of Mistral. Too much for the two 49er classes, while the other 8 classes were able to finish at least one race. ----- In the Mixed 470, Jordi Xammar/Nora Brugman ESP won both races. Hyppolite Machetti/Aloïse Retornaz FRA were twice in second, followed by Lara Vadlau/Lukas Mähr AUT in third. Simon Diesch/Anna Markfort GER were the best Germans in 10th place. The two Swiss teams had a harder time: Linda Fahrni/Cyril Schüpbach SUI had to give up the second race and are 47th, Yves Mermod/Maja Siegenthaler SUI had to accept three capsizes in the second race after an early start in the first heat, and are ranked at the bottom of the ranking list. ----- In ILCA 6, Sarah Douglas CAN has taken the lead with ranks 1 and 2, and Emma Plasschaert BEL is second, 3 points behind. 3rd place is shared by Matilda Nicholls GBR and Elena Vorobeva CRO. Maud Jayet SUI also started well: with 8th and 1st places in her group, she is 5th, 6 points behind. ----- The large fleet of ILCA 7 sails is divided into 3 groups: Elliott Hanson GBR and Philipp Buhl GER share the lead with 1st and 2nd places respectively for the day.
