 Olympic Worldcup - Allianz-Regatta - Almere NED - Final results The second World Cup of the year came to an end yesterday on the Ijssel Sea with the Medal Races held in sunshine and 15 knots of wind. Only 6 of the 10 Olympic classes were at the start, and only the two Formula Kite Classes were top-seeded. The Medal Races did not bring any big changes, the Dutch won 4 times, and the two victories in Formula Kite went to France. ----- In the 49er, Bart Lambriex/Floris Van der Linden NED were the early winners. Behind Thomas Needham/Joel Turner AUS, Keanu Prettner/Jakob Flachberger AUT moved up to the third place. ----- In ILCA, 6 Maxime Jonker NED won ahead of Julia Buesselberg GER and Mirthe Akkerman NED. ----- In ILCA 7, Duko Bos NED stayed in front, Valtteri Uusitalo FIN and Alessio Spadoni ITA followed in 2nd and 3rd. ----- The Formula Kite wins went to Axel Mazella FRA in the men's event and Jessie Kampman FRA in the women's event. Elena Lengwiler SUI remained in 8th place in her first Medal Race. ----- In the iQ-Foil Windsurfers, Luuc Van Opzeeland NED stayed ahead. ----- All rankings, the report and the Facebook page with pictures and videos.

 Olympic Worldcup - Allianz-Regatta - Almere NED - Day 4 With sunshine and 12 knots of wind, later increasing to 18 knots, the qualifications for today's Medal Races were completed yesterday. ----- Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED are the overall winners in the 49ers with a 30-point lead already before the Medal Race. ----- In the ILCA 6, Maxime Jonker NED extended her lead to 9 points thanks to two wins on the day. ----- In ILCA 7, Duko Bos NED goes into the Medal Race with a 9-point lead over Vallteri Uusitalo FIN. The fresher winds also suited Gauthier Verhulst SUI, who moved up to 12th place with 3rd and 9th, missing out on qualifying for the Medal Race by just 6 points. ----- The Formula Kiters sail the Medal Races according to their own system: Axel Mazella FRA and Connor Bainbridge GBR, first in the interim ranking qualify directly for the Final of the best 4. Ranks 3-10 will determine the other finalists in two semi-finals. Marcin Kroczak SUI finished his first World Cup on rank 35. ----- In the women, Annelous Lammerts NED replaced the previously leading Poema Newland FRA on the top spot.  Olympic Worldcup - Allianz-Regatta - Almere NED - Day 3 In a 12-15kn breeze, the World Cup continued on the Ijsselmeer yesterday. ----- In the 49ers, world champions Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED extended their lead to 18 points. ----- In the ILCA 6, Maxime Jonker NED continues to lead, with Julia Buesselberg GER just 2 points back. ----- In ILCA 7, Duko Bos NED fought his way back to the top. Valteri Uusitalo FIN follows 2 points behind. Gauthier Verhulst SUI is 17th among the 37 participants. ----- In the Men's Formula Kite, Axel Mazella FRA pulled away with 14 points as Qibin Huang CHN showed weaknesses for the first time yesterday. Marcin Kroczak SUI remained on 35. ----- Poema Newland FRA is now already 17 points ahead in the Women's Formula Kite.  Olympic Worldcup - Allianz-Regatta - Almere NED - Day 2 Good conditions also on the second day of the World Cup in Holland, and again, a full program was sailed. ----- In the 49ers, Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED extended their lead with two race wins, with Thomas Needham/Joel Turner AUS moving up to second. ----- In the ILCA 7, Valterii Uusitalo FIN took the lead, with Duko Bos NED following one point behind. Gauthier Verhulst SUI improved to 15th place. ----- In the ILCA 6, Maxime Jonker NED is now the sole leader as Marit Bouwmeester NED did not compete yesterday. Julia Büsselberg GER has moved up to second place. ----- In the iQ-Foil Windsurfer, Luuc Van Opzeeland NED held on to the lead, but windsurfing Olympic winner Kiran Badloe NED moved to within 2 points. ----- In the Men's Kitefoil, Axel Mazella FRA and Qibin Huang CHN are still tied at the top.  Olympic Worldcup - Allianz-Regatta - Almere NED - Day 1 Sunshine and around 15kn of wind at the start of the 2nd World Cup of the year, and a full program could be sailed in all classes. ----- In the 49ers, Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED won all 3 races. Benjamin Bildstein/David Hussl AUT follow 3 points behind. ----- In the ILCA 6, Marit Bouwmeester NED and Maxime Jonker NED share the lead on equal points. ----- Dutch lead too in the ILCA 7 with Duko Bos NED. Gauthier Verhulst SUI started the series with a premature start, but thanks to a 17th race rank, he is now 28th. ----- The Dutch trio Luuc Van Opzeeland NED, Huig-Jan Tak NED, and Kiran Badloe NED leads in the iQ-Foil men. ----- In the Men's Kite-Foil, Axel Mazella FRA won all 4 races in his group. Qibin Huang CHN is tied with three race wins and a 2nd place. Marci Kroczak SUI follows in 38th place. ----- With three race wins, Poema Newland FRA leads the Kite-Foil Women fleet ahead of Gisela Borrell ESP.  Olympic Worldcup - Allianz-Regatta - Almere NED - First races today The second Olympic World Cup of the year starts today on the Ijsselmeer. At the start are 7 of the 10 Olympic classes, missing are the 470, the Nacra 15 and the iQ foil windsurfing women. Switzerland is represented in the ILCA 7 by Gauthier and Martin Verhulst SUI, with Marcin Kroczak POL and Elena Lengwiler SUI in the foil kiters. All entry lists and the event website.
