ILCA 4 - Youth World Championship - Viana di Castelo POR - Day 3

After the two starting days with moderate winds, yesterday for the first time there were freshening winds up to 18 knots, and all fleets were able to finish 3 races each, thus completing the qualifications for Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Emerald Fleet. ----- With 2 race wins, Carlos Charabati CAN took the lead one point ahead of Josip Tafra CRO, Erik Scheidt LTU and Lorenzo Ghirotti ITA, equal on points. Ulysse Raison SUI is 79th and will sail as the best Swiss in the Silverfleet. ----- Clara Lorenzi ITA leads the women's classification by one point ahead of Heike Schraffordt NED, followed by Katrina Micallef MLT. Yara Roth SUI is 38th in the gold fleet and Camille Vallotton SUI also just managed to qualify in 74th place. ----- All rankings and the daily report.

 ILCA 4 - Youth World Championship - Viana di Castelo POR - Day 2 The ILCA 4 Junior World Championship began yesterday in Portugal, with all fleets completing two races each in moderate winds. With 1st and 3rd place in his group, Erik Scheidt LTU took the lead, Josip Tafra CRO and Carlos Charabati CAN follow one point behind. Tim Ambos SUI is 71st and best Swiss in the fleet of 276 participants. The ILCA Junior World Championship 4 starts today in Portugal with 427 participants from 51 nations and 5 continents - the entry lists.
