IRC - Sydney-Hobart Race - Hobart AUS - Day 3 - Victory for Law Connect

This morning, only three teams have reached the finish in Hobart so far: After one day and 13 hours (5 hours over the record), the 100-foot super maxi ‘Law Connect’ with Christian Beck AUS won almost 3 hours ahead of the Volvo70 ‘Celestial 70’ with Sam Haynes AUS. 27 minutes later, the 100-foot super maxi ‘Wild Thing’ with Grant Wharington AUS also reached the finish line.  IRC - Sydney-Hobart Race - Sydney AUS - Day 2 After the co-favourite ‘Masterlock-Comanche’ had to retire yesterday with a torn mainsail, last year's winner ‘Law Connect’ is on her way to a comfortable overall victory, this morning she was still 125 miles short of Hobart.  IRC - Sydney-Hobart Race - Sydney AUS - Day 1 The start of the 86th Sydney-Hobart Race took place early this morning in fresh north-easterly winds. The wind forecasts promise a record-fast race (the record is 1 day 8 hours), with the wind only shifting west on Bass Street on the approach to Tasmania.
