 Olympic Worldcup - Semaine Olympique - Hyères FRA - Final results Excellent conditions prevailed yesterday in Hyères during the remaining Medal Races for the 470s, Lasers and the Finns with 12-15kn breeze.
Anton Dahlberg/Frederik Bergström SWE were the premature winners in the 470 men before the last race. Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS won the Medal Race and confirmed their 2nd rank overall ahead of Paul Snow-Hansen/Daniel Wilcox NZL. No change on the podium in the 470 women with Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA on first ahead of Hanna Mills/Eilidh McIntyre GBR and Ai Kondo/Miho Yoshioka JPN.
Winning tge Medal Race of the Finns, Jorge Zarif BRA climbed on rank 1 overall ahead of the long-time leader Nicholas Heiner NED with Silver and Alican Kaynar TUR with Bronze.

Laser - Olympic Worldcup - Hyères FRA - Final results, Bronze for Paige Railey USA, Laser Radial

 Laser - Olympic Worldcup - Hyères FRA - Final results, Bronze for Paige Railey USA, Laser Radial Good conditions with a 12kn breeze and sun prevailed yesterday on Hyères Bay during the Medal Races of the Lasers.
Marit Bouwmeester NED was the premature winner before the final race of the Lasers Radial with the record-size advantage of 56 points ! She also won the Medal Race demonstrating her superiority right to the end. Monika Mikkola FIN controlled the attacking Paige Railey USA during the whole race sailing her down in the fleet finishing on the ranks 7 and 8. Mikkola grasped Silver, Railey Bronze.
No change on the podium in the Lasers Standard: Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA won on his home waters ahead of Sam Meech NZL and Tom Burton AUS.

 Olympic Worldcup - Semaine Olympique - Hyères FRA - Day 5, five Medal Races without NorAm teams Light winds prevailed yesterday during the first five Medal Races of the Hyères Worldcup event, all without North American participation.
In the RS:X men windsurfers, the ranks 1 to 3 went to France: Pierre Le Coq FRA was the winner ahead of Louis Giard FRA and Thomas Goyard FRA who climbed on the podium with a Medal Race victory. In the RS:X women windsurfers, Zofia Noceti-Klepacka POL defended her lead ahead of Peina Chen CHN and Malgorzata Bialecka POL on the ranks 2 and 3.
Four of the 10 starters in the 49ers were disqualified under blackflag. This opened the way to the top for Dominik Buksak/Szymon Wierzbicki POL, who were in the leading group during the whole week. New on the ranks 2 and 3 are Dunning/Gunn NZL and Porebski/Rippey NZL. With a victory in the Medal Race, Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL moved on top of the 49ersFX. Baad-Nielsen/Thusgard DEN finished on 2nd one point behind. Travascio/Brand ARG grasped Bronze in the last race.
The Nacra-17 winners Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA were know prematurely as winners. Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR defended rank 2, while Iker Martinez/Olga Maslivets ESP advanced on rank 3 winning the Medal Race.
For the remaining 5 classes, the last qualification races were on the program.
The Finns remained ashore due to lack of sufficient wind. Nicholas Heiner NED departs to the Medal Race with a 4 points lead on Jorge Zarif BRA and 6 points on Alican Kaynar TUR.
Dahlberg/Bergström SWE are the premature overall winners in the 470 men before the Medal Race with a 27 points' advantage on Belcher/Ryan AUS, who - together with Snow-Hansen/Wilcox NZL - will fight for Silver and Bronze today. In the 470 women, Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA are 9 points ahead of Hannah Mills/Eilidh McIntyre GBR. Ai Kondo/Miho Yoshioka JPN will have to concentrate on the defense of Bronze in today's race.

 Laser - Olympic Worldcup - Hyères FRA - Day 5, Railey and Reineke in today's Medal Race Inspite of a disqualification, the Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED can celebrate a superior victory in the Lasers Radial before the Medal Race as her advantage is 44 points. Monika Mikkola FIN and Paige Railey USA are on a safe way on the podium. Erika Reineke USA will sail the Medal Race as well as 9th.
In the Lasers Standard, Sam Meech NZL is the only athlete with a theoretical chance to replace Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA 13 points in front from rank one. The Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS will terminate as 3rd.

 Olympic Worldcup - Semaine Olympique - Hyères FRA - Day 4, no NorAms in today's 5 Medal Races With 10-12kn, the wind on Hyères Bay was for the first time somewhat fresher yesterday. The RS:X windsurfers, 49ers, 49ersFX and Nacras-17 catamarans concluded the Qualification Series and will sail the Medal Races today. The other classes will held the Final Races tomorrow Sunday.
French will be the winner in the RS:X men windsurfers as the leading Pierre Le Coq FRA could only be replaced on top by Louis Giard FRA 12 points behind. On rank 3 follows Mengfan Gao CHN. 13 points is the advantage of Zofia Noceti-Klepacka POL on Peina Chen CHN in the RS:X women windsurfers.
Fully open is the situation in the 49ers, where the leading Buksak/Wierzbicki POL are only one point ahead of Gilmour/Turner AUS. In the 49ersFX, Ida-Marie Baad/Marie Thusgard DEN have a 5 points' lead on Alexandra Maloney/Molly Meech NZL. Stephanie Roble/Margaret Shea USA on rank 11 clearly missed the Medal Race cut with a 25 points' deficit on rank 10.
Already decided are the top ranks in the Nacra 17 catamarans as Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA have now a 40 points' lead on Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR, who, on their turn, have a 15 points' advantage on the 3rd-ranked Vittorio Bissaro/Maelle Frascari ITA.
The 470s sail their last Qualificastion races today. Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA are first in the 470 women 7 points ahead of Mills/McIntyre GBR. Another 5 points back are Mas-Depares/Cantero ESP. Dahlberg/Bergström SWE defended their first position in the 470 men, but Belcher/Ryan AUS moved up on rank 2 with two bullets yesterday. Isozaki/Takayanagi JPN follow on rank 3.
No change on the podium positions in the Finns with Nicholas Heiner NED leading ahead of Jorge Zarif BRA and Alican Kaynar TUR.

 Laser - Olympic Worldcup - Hyères FRA - Day 4, Railey and Reineke USA on track for the Medal Race Fresher winds compared to the previous days prevailed on Hyères Bay yesterday during the two races of the Lasers. The Qualification Series will be concluded today with another two heats per class.
Inspite of rather medium results (14/17). the local Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA defended his lead in the Lasers Standard, but Filip Jurisic CRO reduced his backlog on 2 points, and also Sam Meech NZL on rank 3 is not far away. Charlie Buckingham USA and Chris Barnard USA are 31 points behind the Medal Race cut, too much to catch up in today's races.
Marit Bouwmeester NED extended her lead in the Lasers Radial on 42 points. Maite Carlier BEL follows on rank 2. Anne-Marie Rindom DEN and Monika Mikkola FIN share the 3rd place. 16 points is the advantage of Erika Reineke USA on the 11th place, and she as well as Paige Railey USA are ahead of their Medal Race qualifications at the end of the day.

 Olympic Worldcup - Semaine Olympic - Hyères FRA - Day 3, NorAm top-10s in Laser Radial only Another day with only light and unconstant winds at the Olympic Classes Worldcup event on Hyères Bay yesterday and only a reduced program was held.
Three French athletes lead now in the RS:X men windsurfers with Pierre Le Coq FRA, Thomas Goyard FRA and Louis Giard FRA. The RS:X women windsurfers completed only one race without changes on the podium. Zofia Noceti-Klepacka POL remains first with a 4 points lead on Peina Chen CHN.
New on top of the 49ers are David Gilmour/Joel Turner AUS, followed by Botin/Lopez ESP and Buksak/Wierzbicki POL on the ranks 2 and 3. Helene Naess/Marie Roenningen NOR extended their lead in the 49ersFX on 9 points. Maloney/Meech NZL and Baad-Nielsen/Thusgaard DEN stay on the 2nd and 3rd places.
The 470s sailed two race per fleet. Camille Lecointre/Aloise Retornaz FRA moved on top in the 470 women with the day ranks 1 and 4. Mas-Depares/Cantero ESP advanced on rank 2 closely followed by Mills/McIntyre GBR. In the 470 men, Dahlberg/Bergström SWE lead 5 points ahead of Snow-Hansen/Wilcox NZL.
Nicholas Heiner NED is now on rank 1 in the Finns one point ahead of Jorge Zarif BRA on the 2nd place. Alican Kaynar TUR ist progressed on the 3rd position. In the Nacras-17 catamarans, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA defended rank 1 extending their advantage on Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR to 9 points. Man of the day in the Laser Standard was the Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS, winning both heats and advancing on rank 5 overall only 6 points behind the new leader Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA. Lorenzo Chiavarini GBR and Filip Jurisic CRO follow closely behind on the ranks 2 and 3.
Marit Bouwmeester NED extended her lead in the Lasers Radial on 15 points. New on rank 2 is Maite Carlier BEL. Monika Mikkola FIN is now on rank 3.

 Olympic Worldcup - Semaine Olympic - Hyères FRA - Day 2, Radials with the ranks 2 and 6 still the best NorAms Light winds prevailed again on Hyères Bay delaying the first starts of the day to 15.30h CET. The 49ers were the latest to finish the program at 20.30h !
The RS:X windsurfers sailed three races per gender. Louis Giard FRA is the new leader in the RS:X men, ahead of Mengfan Gao CHN and Pierre Le Coq FRA 3 points behind on the ranks 2 and 3. In the RS:X women, Zofia Noceti-Klepacka POL has taken the lead in front of Peina Chen CHN and Malgorzata Bialecka POL.
In the 49ers, Dominik Buksak/Szymon Wierzbicki POL defended their lead ahead of David Gilmour/Joel Turner AUS one point back. A leader change happened in the 49ersFX, where Helene Naess/Marie Roenningen NOR are 9 points ahead of the tied Maloney/Meech NZL and Wester/Netzler SWE.
The 470s completed only one race per class. In the 470 men, the new leaders are Isozaki/Takayanagi JPN followed by Dahlberg/Bergström SWE and Snow-Hansen/Wilcox NZL. Winning the race of the day, Noya Bar-Am/Nina Amir ISR moved on top of the 470 women. Wei/Gao CHN and Mas-Depares/Cantero ESP are on the ranks 2 and 3.
Jonathan Lobert FRA stayed on top of the Finns, but winning a race, Nicholas Heiner NED advanced on the 2nd place. Shared lead in the Nacras 17 with Ruggero Tita/Claudia Banti ITA and Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR at equal points on top. Iker Martinez/Olga Maslivets ESP follow on the 3rd rank.

Tonci Stipanovic CRO defended his first place in the Lasers Standard ahead of Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA and Pavlos Kontides CYP. The new leader in the Lasers Radial is now the Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED one point ahead of Paige Railey USA on rank 2. Viktoria Andrulyte LTU remains on the 3rd place.

 Olympic Worldcup - Semaine Olympique - Hyères FRA - Day 1, brilliant in Lasers Radial, remarkable in Skiffs Sun and slackening moderate winds prevailed yesterday in Hyères FRA on the first day of Act 3 of the Olympic Class Worldcup. Depending on the classes, 2 to 3 races were completed, and only the Nacra 17 sailed but one heat, won by the World Champions Ben Saxton/Nicola Boniface GBR. Ruggero Tita/Claudia Banti ITA and Iker Martinez/Olga Maslivets followed on the ranks 2 and 3. In the Finns, Jonathan Lobert FRA has taken the lead ahead of Jorge Zarif BRA and Ioannis Mitakis GRE.
Dahlberg/Bergström SWE are on top of the 470 men in front of Lan/Zhou CHN and Ferrari/Calabro ITA. In the 470 women, Wai/Gao CHN are first by a small margin over Mills/McIntyre GBR and Lecointre/Retornaz FRA.

A duo is also in top of the RS:X women windsurfers: Peina Chen CHN nd Noga Geller ISR are on top with the same number of points. In the RS_X men windsurfers, Pierre Le Coq FRA is in the lead after 3 races, followed by Mengfan Gao CHN one point behind.

 Laser Standard & Radial - Olympic Worldcup - Hyères FRA - Day 1, excellent US Radials with ranks 1 and 4 The Hyères Laser Worldcup event began yesterday with two races sailed in a 10kn breeze, decreasing during the day.
Tonci Stipanovic CRO won both heats in the Lasers Standard and leads overall 5 points ahead of Pavlos Kontides CYP. All other competitors finished with at least one two-digit result and are clearly behind the leading duo.
In the Lasers Radial, Paige Railey USA finished twice on top leading ahead of Marit Bouwmeester NED and Viktorija Andrulyte LTU.
