Olympic Classes - Copa do Brasil - Rio de Janeiro BRA - Day 3

Light winds prevailed again on the the third day of the Copa do Brasil, but later in the afternoon, a fresher breeze with up to 15 kn filled in.
The favorites Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS finally 'woke up' and booked two bullets climbing on top of the 470 men. Bouvet/Mion FRA and McNay/Hughes USA are the first chasers. Camille Lecointre/Hélène Defrance FRA defended their first position in the 470 women, while Hannah Mills/Sakia Clark GBR advanced on rank 2 as best of the day. Ai Kondo(Miho Yoshioka JPN remain on 3rd.
Yago and Klaus Lange ARG took the lead in the 49ers ahead of Pink/Bithell GBR. Outteridge/Jensen descended on the 3rd place. Tamara Echegoyen/Berta Betanzos ESP remained on top of the 49ersFX, with Bekkering/Duetz NED and Mai-Hansen/Salskov DEN on the ranks 2 and 3.
Thanks to two race wins in the Finns yesterday, Vasilij Zbogar SLO is now first joining Giles Scott GBR at equal points. Caleb Paine USA advanced on rank 3. Thomas Zajac/Tanja Frank AUT defended their lead in the Nacras 17, but the World Champions Billy Besson/Marie Riou FRA are now only one point back. Ben Saxton/Nicola Groves GBR remain on 3rd.
Matthew Wearn AUS has now a 6 points' lead in the Lasers Standard. Tonci Stipanovic CRO and Robert Scheidt BRA are new on the ranks 2 and 3. No change in the Lasers Radial, where Evi Van Acker BEL leads ahead of Marit Bouwmeester NED and Anne-Marie Rindom DEN.
A leader change happened however in the RS:X male windsurfers: Nimrod Mashiah ISR replaced Dorian Van Rijsselberge NED on rank 1. Marina Alabau remained first in the RS:X female windsurfers six points ahead of Bryony Shaw GBR.
