IMOCA Open 60 - Vendée Globe 2016/17 - Day 98
Sunday, February 12, 2017
The 10 solo skippers still in the race are struggling with the rough conditions on the North Atlantic. Eric Bellion FRA, expected on the coming Monday to finish the Vendée as 9th, had to lower the main sail as the top detatched from the rail. A repair has been impossible for the moment, due to the heavy storm on the Bay of Biscay. Conrad Coleman NZL/USA too has to wait for less wind and waves to construct a jury rig with his broken mast. Rich Wilson USA is still on the 14th position.
