IMOCA Open 60 - Transat Jacques Vabre - Le Havre FRA - Day 8
Wednesday, November 15, 2023
After 4 days at the top of the IMOCA, Justine Mettraux SUI/Julien Villion FRA hit a flat transition zone yesterday and lost their lead. Thomas Ruyant/Morgan Lagravière FRA, the leaders of the southern group, are now in front, with Mettraux/Villon following 20 miles behind ... but it's not decided yet: While the southern group is pushed further south this morning to avoid a flat zone, Justine Mettraux/Julien Villion will reach a powerful low-pressure today and accelerate again. The race over the next 5 days will decide how far south it will have an effect, with around 1,600 miles still to go to the finish. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
