29er - World Championship 2023 - Weymouth GBR - Final results

The 29er World Championships came to an end yesterday in Weymouth with four races in 8-15 knots of wind. ----- With a consistent series of top ten results, Clementine and Nathan Van Steenberge IRL secured the World Championship title with a 17 point lead over Maximo Videla/Juan Cruz ARG. This is the second time in the soon-to-be 20-year history that a helmswoman has won the title! Bronze went to Alexis Demurtas/Giovanni Santi ITA. Hugo Revil/Karl Devaux FRA, tied on points, had to settle for 4th place. Anton and Johann Sach GER dropped back to 6th place, just 4 points behind the bronze medal. The Swiss were able to improve slightly: Stach Vleeshowers/Pierre Jully SUI finished the Worlds in 22nd place, Constantin Higgs/Itay Geller SUI were 27th in the Goldfleet. In the Silverfleet, Simon and Mathieu Mille SUI finished 13th (=63 overall), Ikke Huber/Liam Berger SUI were 16th (66 overall) and thus 9th in the U17 classification.
