420, 470 - Carnival Race - San Remo ITA - Day 1

In gusty easterly winds, the Carnival Race began yesterday in San Remo with 4 races each. ----- Three Greek teams are tied on top of the large 420 fleet, led by Chamarias Sokratis/George Xipas GRE. The Swiss junior teams will be sailing in the Silverfleet from today, with Seraina Pfister/Valentine Scharpff SUI in 81st place out of 127 teams. ----- In the 470, there are 15 teams from 6 nations at the start, with Aurora Casertano/Mattia Tognochi ITA in the lead.
