 49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - World Championship 2022 - Nova Scotia CAN - Final results 2 x Gold for Holland ! With the last Fleetraces and the Medal Races, the World Championships of the three Olympic classes came to an end yesterday. ----- Odile Van Aanholt/Anette Duetz NED in the 49erFX and Bart Lambriex/Florian Van de Werken NED in the 49er successfully defended the titles they won last year. Wilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE took silver in the 49erFX, Tamara Echegoyen/Paula Barcelo ESP were 3rd - the report 49erFX. ----- In the 49er, Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP moved up to 2nd place, Sime and Mihovil Fantela CRO took bronze - the report 49er. ----- In the Nacra 17, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA were already established as the superior new world champions. In the end, their lead was 60 points ! Gianluigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilei ITA took silver, Sinem Kurtbay/Akseli Keskinen FIN moved up to third place.

 49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - World Championship 2022 - Nova Scotia CAN - Day 5 In good seabreeze conditions again, three races were sailed yesterday. ----- With 13 race wins in 15 races, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA are already the Nacra 17 World Champions before today's final race and Medal Race. Their lead over Gianluigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilei ITA is 49 points ! In the fight for the bronze medal John Gimson/Anna Burnet GBR and Sinem Kurtbay/Akseli Keskinen FIN are only 2 points apart. ----- Odile Van Aanholt/Anette Duetz NED lead the 49ersFX over Wilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE by 11 points. ----- Bart Lambriex/Florian Van de Werken NED are already 24 points ahead in the 49ers. Another good seabreeze - 12-14kn - provided the best conditions yesterday - and the 49ers sailed their first three final races in Gold and Silverfleet. ----- Thanks to two race wins, Sime and Mihail Fantela CRO moved up to second place, 13 points behind the leaders Bart Lambriex/Floris Van de Werken NED. Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP are 3rd, 19 points behind. There are still 3 Fleet Races today, and the Medal Race tomorrow. The results 49er. ----- In the 49ersFX, Odile Van Aanholt/Annette Duetz NED fought their way back to the top. Vilma Bobeck/Rebecca Netzler SWE stayed close in 2nd, 4 points behind. Freya Black/Saskia Tidey GBR are now in 3rd place, 33 points back. ----- In the Nacra 17, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA again won all races. And nothing changed behind them either: Gianluigi Ugolini/Maria Giubilei ITA and Sinem Kurtbay/Akseli Keskinen FIN still hold second and third place. ----- The daily report.  49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - World Championship 2022 - Nova Scotia CAN - Day 3 In light, inconsistent winds, the 49ers completed their qualifications for the Gold and Silverfleet finals with 4 races yesterday. The 49ersFX and the Nacras finished 3 races each. ----- Despite a bad day with ranks 5/31/19, Vilma Bobek/Rebecca Netzler SWE took the lead in the 49ersFX after previous leaders Odile Van Aanholt/Anette Duetz NED also failed to shine with ranks 9/29/25. ----- In the 49ers, Bart Lambriex/Florian Van de Werken NED held on to the top spot, with Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP moving up to second, 5 points behind. ----- In the Nacras 17, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA had to admit defeat for the first time, but with ranks 20/1/1, they continued to pull away at the top - their lead is already 30 points. ----- The daily report with links to all rankings.  49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - World Championship 2022 - Nova Scotia CAN - Day 2 After the windy start day, the seabreeze blew at a moderate 8-12 knots yesterday, and three races were sailed in all classes. ----- Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA were outstanding, winning all three races again in the Nacra 17. Gian-Luigi Ugolai/Maria Giubilai ITA moved up to second place. The Italian Nacra teams are so far the only ones who can use the new rudder equipment for permanent foiling upwind. Sinem Kurtbay/Akseli Keskinen FIN are already 18 points behind in 3rd place. ----- In the 49er, Bart Lambriex/Florian Van de Werken NED have taken the top spot with the day's ranks 2/1/1. Sime and Mihovil Fantela CRO and Diego Botin/Florian Trittel ESP are the first pursuers.  49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - World Championship 2022 - Nova Scotia CAN - Day 1 Fresh winds around 30kn yesterday made for a rough start to the World Championships for the three Olympic classes. 49ersFX and the Nacras finished three races each, while the 49ers, split into two groups, could only finish one race. ----- Victories went to Erwan Fischer/Clément Péquin FRA and Chris Taylor/Rhos Hawes GBR - the 49er ranking. ----- In the 49ersFX, the favorites Odile Van Aanholt/Annette Duetz NED clearly dominated with the daily ranks 2/1/1. Tamara Echegoyen/Paula Barcelo ESP follow 5 points behind on rank 2. The Olympic winners Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA are on rank 5. Also doing well in the race is 470 Olympic 2012 winner Jo Aleh NZL (with Molly Meech) sailing new in the 49FXer in 8th place - the results 49erFX. ----- With three race wins, Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA continue to dominate the Nacra class.  49er, 49erFX, Nacra 17 - World Championship 2022 - Nova Scotia CAN - First races today The joint World Championships of the three Olympic classes begin tonight in Canada. Two years before the Games, the fleets are top-notch, with only the Swiss missing. ----- In the 49ers, 65 teams from 23 nations are taking part. ----- In the 49ersFX, there are 37 teams from 19 nations, the big favourites once again are the double Olympic Champions Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA and the season's rising stars Odile Van Aanholt/Annette Duetz NED. ----- In the Nacra 17, 34 teams from 17 nations are taking part. China is the second largest delegation after the USA with 5 boats !
