Class 40, Ocean Fifty - MedMax - Port Camargue - Day 3

With better winds than expected, the 25-boat Class 40 fleet reached Ibiza yesterday, the turning point of the race in the south. The organizers have therefore extended the course by 100 miles to round the small volcanic island of Colombrete (between Barcelona and the Balearic Islands). ----- Ambrogio Beccaria/Alberto Riva ITA are now leading the Class 40 with a 4-mile lead over Achille Nebout/Gildas Mahé FRA. ----- The Ocean 50 trimarans are still searching for wind after rounding Sardinia in the calm Mediterranean Sea. Meanwhile, they are close to the Algerian coast.
