Optimist - World Championship 2025 - Portoroz SLO - Day four - Team Racing

The Optimist World Championship in Portoroz continued yesterday with the Team Racing competition. Hoping for wind, the race committee invited the sailors afloat shortly after 11 AM, but the light breeze soon disappeared completely, and after an hour of waiting, the sailors returned to shore. In the afternoon, the sea breeze finally stabilized at around 6–7 knots, and the 48 teams headed to two race courses. The double-elimination format was replaced with a single-elimination system to ensure the full first phase of the team races could be completed. ----- After yesterday's racing, the top 16 teams will proceed to today's final eliminations.
