 Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie FRA - Elies FRA/Davies GBR overall winners Winning the 240nm leg 3 of this two-person team regatta, Yann Elies FRA/Samantha Davies GBR finished on top of the Sardinha Cup overall rankings, i.e. the inaugural regatta of the new Figaro-3-Class equipped with foils . Lois Berrehar/Thomas Rouxel FRA on rank 2 finished just one point ahead of Xavier Macaire/Achille Nebout FRA on 3rd. --- The results and the final report.

New on rank 2 are Xavier Macaire/Achille Nebout FRA 2nm behind.  Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - Saint-Croix-de-Vie FRA - Leg 3 - Day 1 - the mixed-team Davies/Eliès first leaders 31 two-person teams were finally ready to start to the third and last leg of the Sardinha Cup yesterday in moderate winds around 10kn. This morning UTC, the Figaro 3 fleet was still closely together with the Vendée Globe skippers Yann Eliès FRA/Samantha Davies GBR on first one mile ahead of Corentin Douget/Corentin Horeau FRA and Arthur Levaillant/Pascal Bidegorry FRA neck and neck. --- The race tracker and the daily news.

 Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - Sain-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie FRA - Leg 3 - Start today Today a 13h UTC, the start to the third and final leg 3 of the two-person Sardinha Cup will be given. The 33 Figaro 3 foiling yachts will be underway on the 322nm course during roughly 2 days. Moderate winds have been announced. --- After the first two legs, Pierre Leboucher/Erwan Tabarly FRA are in the lead ahead of Samantha Davies GBR/Yann Eliès FRA. --- The positions after two legs, the preview and the race tracker.

 Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie - Leg 2 - Final results, Leboucher/Tabarly FRA first in a close race to the finish The slackening winds in the approach to the finish provoked major position changes yesterday. Winners after 2 days and 2 hours were Pierre Leboucher/Erwan Tabarly FRA 3 minutes ahead of Martin Le Pape/Thierry Chabagny FRA. Loïs Berrehar/Thomas Rouxel FRA followed on 3rd with a 4:46min backlog. The best mixed two-person team of Samantha Davies GBR/Yann Eliès FRA is on 4th.

 Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - Saint-Gilles-de-Vie FRA - Leg 2 - Day 2, duel for victory No change on top of the rankings after 2/3 of the course completed in a fresh 20kn breeze with Charles Caudrelier/Fabien Delahaye FRA leading this morning UTC closely followed by Arthur Le Vaillant/Pascal Bidégorry FRA one mile behind.
Yann Eliès FRA/Samantha Davies GBR on 8th are the best mixed team 3nm ahead of Justine Metrraux SUI/Gwenolé Gahinet FRA on rank 17 among the 32 teams still racing.
The fleet is expected to arrive this afternoon.

 Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - Saint-Gilles-Coix-de-Vie FRA - Leg 2 - Day 1, Caudrelier/Delhaye FRA leading Charles Caudrelier/Fabien Delhaye FRA were leading this morning in the 405nm leg 2 of the Sardhina Cup with an advantage of one mile on Benjamin Schwartz/Cédric Pouligny FRA and Tom Laperche/Ronan Treussart FRA. The mixed-team Justine Mettraux SUI/Gwenolen Gahinet FRA follows 4nm back on rank 9. Fresh winds between 15 und 20kn keep the 33 teams still in the race busy.
This morning UTC, one third of the distance was reached with the fleet still closely together.

Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - Saint-Croix-de-Vie FRA - Leg 2 - Start today, fresher breeze for the foiling Figaros

 Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - Saint-Croix-de-Vie FRA - Leg 2 - Start today, fresher breeze for the foiling Figaros 15h UTC this afternoon, the 33 Figaro-3 two-person teams still in the race will start to the second leg of the Sardinha-Cup. After the first leg sailed in light winds, the longer 405nm course ahead will challenge the teams with fresher winds from an inital 15kn breeze to up to 25kn, and to keep the Figaros - now equipped with foil - at top speeds will be demanding.
After the first shortened leg, the time gaps between the boats are minimal, and the major changes in the rankings can be expected.

 Figaro 3 - Sardinha Cup - St.Gilles-Croix-de-Vie FRA - First race of these offshore yachts (2-person, among them 6 mixed teams) now with foils, start today Today, the start will be given to the inaugural race of the Figaro 3 yachts equipped with foils on the occasion of the 2019 Sardinha Cup. 34 two person teams will be on the starting line among them numerous offshore top sailors such as the Vendée-Globe-veterans Loïck Peyron FRA, Mike Golding GBR, Samantha Davies GBR, Yann Elièes FRA or the Volvo-Ocean-Race-winner Charles Caudrelier FRA. Six miixed-two-person teams are on the entry list such as Justine Mettraux SUI racing with Gwenolé Gahinet FRA. The first leg of 147nm runs off the coast of Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie.
