Armel Le Cléac'h FRA and Alex Thompson GBR have meanwhile sailed roughly half the distance from New Zealand to Cape Hoorn. Slowed down in a lull zone between two low pressure systems, they have lost over 200 nm of their lead to the persuers yesterday. Le Cléac'h FRA extended his lead on Thompson to 300 nm. Paul Meilhat FRA on rank 3 is 900 nm behind the Brit. Rich Wilson USA is 17th.
