After rounding Cape Horn yesterday, the leader Armel Le Cléac'h FRA is sailing now in a low-wind zone and the first challenger Alex Thompson GBR could reduce his backlog by over 200 nm. The Englishman will round Cape Horn today with a 480 nm deficit as second. Jérémy Béyou FRA with a 1'291 nm backlog will probably reach the Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday. The second half of the mid-fleet is sailing closely together. Alan Roura SUI (rank 13) and Eric Belion FRA were sailing board and board during the whole day, singing Christmas Carols. They slightly reduced the speed to avoid the approaching next depression with winds of up to 60 kn. Rich Wilson USA is one up on rank 14. The race tracker, the news and the videos.
