 Olympic Test Event  Enoshima JPN  Day 2, USA sailors in top10 are Erika Reineke 5th Laser Radial, Luke Miller 8th Finn and McNay/Hughes 10th 470 men
Two respectively three races per class were held on the opening day of the Olympic test event in Enoshima JPN in a fresh wind around 20kn and big waves. ----- The results of the North Americans were diverging. In the first half of the small fleets finished the Lasers Standard of Christopher Barnard on 11th and Charlie Buckingham on 15th, Stuart McNay/David Hughes as 10th in the 470 men, Luke Muller as 8th in the Finn, as well as Erika Reineke 5th and Sarah Douglas CAN 11th in the Lasers Radial. Please find here the full list of all North American results and the US Sailing Team report. ----------- The top-ranks per class after day one are as follows: ----- Finishing on the ranks 1 and 2, Sam Meech NZL took the lead in the Lasers Standard ahead of Matthew Wearn AUS and Jean-Baptiste Bernaz FRA. The Olympic Champion Tom Burton AUS followed on rank 6, Robert Scheidt BRA on 7th. ----- In the Lasers Radial, Maria Erdi HUN, ranks 1 and 2 as well, is on top. The Olympic Champion Marit Bouwmeester NED on 2nd is already 5 points behind. With Anne-Marie Rindom DEN and Allison Young GBR, two other favorites follow on the ranks 3 and 4. ----- In the 470 Men, Jordi Xammar/Nicolas Rodriguez ESP are on top of the rankings, 3 points ahead of the Olympic Champions Matthew Belcher/Will Ryan AUS. ----- In the 470 Women, Ai Kondo/Miho Yoshioka JPN lead 3 points in front of Agnieszka Skrzypulec/Jolanta Hogar POL. ----- In the Finns, Zsombor Beresz HUN and Nicholas Heiner NED share the lead. ----- In the RS:X Men Windsurfers, Thomas Goyard FRA is on rank 1 followed by Tom Squires GBR. Yunxiu Lu CHN is on top of the RS:X Women ahead of Maja Dziarnowska POL. Finishing 2 of the 3 races on top, Peter Burling/Blair Tuke NZL are the clear leaders in the 49ers followed by Dylan Fletcher/Stuart Bithell GBR. Charlotte Dobson/Saskia Tidey GBR are first in the 49ersFX with 2 bullets in 3 heats, in front of Martine Grael/Kahena Kunze BRA. Ruggero Tita/Caterina Banti ITA hold the first place in the Nacra 17 ahead of Paul Kohlhoff/Alicia Stuhlemmer GER. ----- All ranking lists and the daily news. -------------------- The sailing conditions today Sunday are moderate with a 10kn breeze this morning UTC.
