IMOCA Open 60, Class 40, Multi 50 Transat Jacques Vabre Day 11, the leaders in all three classes on solid positions
After 11 days underway, the race of the three Multi-50 seems decided, as after the crossing of the Equator, the leading Gilles Lamire/Antoine Carpentier FRA had a 225nm advantage with 430 (roughly 24 hours) left to Bahia BRA. ----- The outcome in the Open 60 seems also more and more clear, as during the past night, Charlie Dalin/Yann Eliès FRA touched the southern trade winds as first. 'Charal' with Jérémy Béyou FRA/Christopher Pratt GBR were 107nm back this morning UTC and trailing with speeds around 6kn only. The rest of the fleet is closing up in the unconstant winds of the innertropical convergence zone. ----- In the Class 40, Ian Lipinski/Adrien Hardy FRA extended their lead on 79nm and will reach the Doldrums before noon today UTC. Fabien Delahaye FRA/Sam Goodchild GBR and Aymeric Chappellier/Pierre Leboucher FRA remain the first persuers. ----- The race tracker, the news and the videos.
