Strong winds delayed the regatta schedule yesterday, but in the afternoon the conditions were good enough to complete the qualifications for today's Medal Races. In the 470s men Dahlberg / Bergström SWE remain in the lead, but Belcher / Ryan AUS are now only 3 points behind. One of the two teams will probably win the series after today’s medal race, as Peponnet / Mion FRA are already 13 points behind. In the women's 470 Maria Bozi / Raffailina Klonaridou GRE have taken the lead and are going into the medal race with a 6 point’s margin over Skrzypulec / Ogar POL. There were no changes in the 49er where Warrer / Precht DEN managed to extend their lead 9 points with two daily wins. The Spanish boats Alonso / Alonso ESP and Botin / Lopez ESP follow in ranks 2 and 3. In the 49er FX Alexandra Maloney / Molly Meech NZL moved to the top. With only 4.5 points more Tina Lutz / Susann Beucke GER are still in the race for the overall victory as are Julia Gross / Hanna Kling SWE on rank 3. In the Finn Ed Wright GBR is back on the top, but Josh Junior NZL is just one point behind. 7 points is the margin of John Gimson / Anna Burnet GBR on Jason Waterhouse / Lisa Darmanin AUS in the Nacra 17 catamarans. We can expect exciting medal races today. All Leaderboards and the daily report.
