After two third of the race, the duel on top of the rankings is going on for the two MOD-70 trimarans 'Maserati' (Giovanni Soldini ITA) and 'PowerPlay' (Ned Collier USA) now 24nm behind. The monohulls are only at one third of the distance with 'My Song' (Pier-Luigi Piana ITA) clearly leading ahead of 'Kuka' of Franco Niggeler SUI, leading in calculated time.
