The qualifications for the Medal Race of today were concluded yesterday with three races sailed in the windiest conditions so far with up to 30kn. ---- With two bullets, Matthew Wearn AUS made everything clear and won prematurely with an advantage of 23 points on Sam Meech NZL. Another 5 points behind follows Luke Elliott GBR on 3rd fighting for Bronze with Tom Burton AUS with 5 points more. Charlie Buckingham USA defended his 12th place. Christopher Barnard USA however was not in love with the fresh breeze and dropped on rank 19 with his worst three ranks of the week. ---- In the Lasers Radial, Maria Erdi HUN extended her lead on Tuula Tenkanen FIN to 7 points and the two will fight for victory today. Emma Plaesschart BEL is on a solid 3rd place. With her second UFD (a soft black flag disqualification), Paige Railey USA dived on rank 8 with no chance to improve in the Medal Race today. Coralie Vittecoq CAN did not finish the three races and is 48th. ---- All ranking lists and the daily news (in French and English).
