Class 40 - Transat Jacques Vabre - Day 13

The Class 40 fleet will still have around 5 days to go. ----- In the Italian duel at the top, Alberto Bona ITA/Pablo Santurde ESP were able to make up some miles and are now just 11 miles behind Ambrogio Beccaria ITA/Nicolas Andrieu FRA, both sailing in the southern group. In contrast to the Open 60, where Justine Mettraux SUI/Julien Villion FRA also had to cross some doldrums in the north, the large northern group should make good progress to the finish with fresher winds (see race tracker). Xavier Macaire/Pierre Leboucher FRA are the leading team in the north, 100 miles behind, and at 18 knots already the fastest boat in the fleet. ----- The race tracker and the reports.
